Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our dog training services, including methods, benefits, and tips for improving your dog’s behavior and obedience.

Our Board and Train program offers a training experience where your dog stays with us at our Glendora location for a set time. During their visit, they'll work with our trainers and participate in several training sessions each day, designed to fit their specific needs and what you want them to learn. This helps us address behavior problems, improve obedience, and teach important skills in a distraction-free setting.

Board and Train can be a good choice for dogs of all ages and breeds. It's especially helpful for dogs that need a lot of training because of behavior problems like aggression, being reactive, or anxiety. The structured environment and regular training can help them make big improvements. It's also a good option for busy owners who might not have time for consistent training at home. If your dog needs to learn specific skills, like walking without a leash or behaving well in public, our Board and Train program can give them the focused instruction they need.

We create a plan for each dog, but a typical day has a good balance of activities. Your dog will join several training sessions throughout the day, working on obedience, better behavior, and getting along with other dogs. We also make sure they get enough exercise and playtime to keep them happy and busy. And of course, they'll have time to rest and relax in a comfortable and safe place so they're ready for more training.

We want to make sure your dog keeps learning and improving even after they go home. When you pick up your dog, we'll have a meeting with you to show you what they've learned and explain how you can keep up their training. We also include lessons after the program to help you and your dog practice new skills in everyday life. And we're always happy to answer your questions and give you advice as you keep working with your dog.

At It's a Dog's World, we think boarding should be more than just a place for your dog to sleep. When your dog is in our Board and Train program, we treat them like part of our family. They'll be comfortable and have lots of chances to play with other dogs, have fun, and rest, all while getting great training. This way, your dog gets a well-rounded experience that helps them behave better and feel good overall.
