AKC® Urban CGC

Choose our AKC® CGC dog training program to experience a structured and effective method for refining canine behavior in public areas. Prepare your dog for real-world scenarios like navigating crowds, traffic, and stores through this class. Sessions take place on Saturdays at 1:00 pm and end with a test. Mandatory conditions include having the Canine Good Citizen title and an AKC® registration ID. Please remember that aggressive behavior is against the policy, and adopted or service dogs receive a $10 discount.

Obedience Training

Join our Group Obedience courses for a stimulating and effective dog training journey. For 7 weeks, you’ll join a small, focused group with no more than 12 owners and dogs as you learn from a committed local dog trainer. Your dog can sharpen skills with weekly hour-long sessions and daily 45-minute practice sessions, covering vital commands like sit and down stays, recall, loose leash walking, and heel and tackling typical behavior problems. We also focus on reinforcing obedience commands with distractions reaching up to 30 feet, instilling proper greeting behavior, and stressing the value of a balanced diet and regular exercise. Develop your dog’s capabilities further through our Intermediate Obedience Training tiers, aimed at preparing them for AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine assessments, which offer legal advantages and a well-mannered pet certification. AKC® Trick Dog Classes

Enroll in our AKC® Trick Dog Class at It’s A Dog’s World K9 Academy and create unforgettable memories with your furry friend! Over the course of 6 weeks, your furry friend will be taught a range of enjoyable tricks, like spinning in circles, shaking paws, playing dead, barking on cue, crawling, high-fiving, jumping through a hoop, and more. Your furry friend can receive an AKC® “Intermediate” or “Novice” Trick Dog Title by displaying a specific number of tricks.

For the Novice evaluation, your furry friend must perform 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), and Intermediate includes an additional set of 10 tricks. Conducted by AKC®-endorsed CGC Evaluators, our session welcomes dogs aged 6 months and up who have successfully completed Basic Obedience or a comparable curriculum. Service Dog Training

Engage in our Jurupa Valley service dog training – a thorough program conducted by a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer gets things started with a free consultation and assessment to evaluate your dog’s support needs and program compatibility. Following the initial evaluation, your service dog trainer in Jurupa Valley will create a tailored K-9 training strategy across three phases. These phases incorporate group workshops such as Basic, CGC Level I & II, and Urban Canine, along with board and train options, individual lessons held either at your home or at another location with a local K-9 trainer, and private field sessions. Testing for certifications like Urban Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Community Canine®, and a Public Access Test are integrated into the training.

The training is very challenging, not every dog will pass, and some may not be suitable candidates, but those who excel and complete the course will receive a Certification ID card.
