AKC® Trick Dog Classes
Join the AKC® Trick Dog Class at It’s A Dog’s World K9 Academy and experience a delightful time with your beloved dog! In a 6-week span, your canine companion will acquire a plethora of fun tricks like crawling, spinning in circles, shaking paws, jumping through a hoop, playing dead, high-fiving, barking on cue, and other tricks. Obtaining an AKC® “Intermediate” or “Novice” Trick Dog Title is possible for your dog through the performance of a set quantity of tricks.
For the Novice evaluation, your canine companion will perform 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), and Intermediate includes an additional set of 10 tricks. Directed by AKC®-accredited CGC Evaluators, our class is open to dogs aged 6 months and up, provided they have completed Basic Obedience training or a similar program. Make the most of this opportunity to foster a deeper bond, refine skills, and enjoy playful moments with your loyal companion!
Obedience Training
Enroll your dog in our Group Obedience courses for an engaging and effective training solution. Participate in a group of no more than 12 owners and dogs, where you’ll receive guidance from a committed local dog trainer over a 7-week period. Each week, you’ll enjoy hour-long sessions alongside daily 45-minute practice sessions, focusing on handling common behavioral challenges and fundamental commands such as loose leash walking, sit and down stays, recall, and heel. Also, we give attention to teaching the right way to greet, highlighting the importance of good nutrition and physical activity, and reinforcing obedience commands in the presence of distractions within a 30-foot range. Improve your dog’s capabilities through our Intermediate Obedience Training tiers, geared towards equipping them for AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine assessments, granting a well-mannered pet certification and legal benefits. Watch your dog flourish in obedience and social etiquette with our guidance!
AKC® Urban CGC
Join our AKC® CGC dog training services for a focused and practical approach to canine behavior in public spaces. Train your dog to handle outdoor scenarios like crowds, traffic, and shopping with this class. Join us on Saturdays at 1:00 pm for sessions that end with a test. Prior qualifications consist of obtaining the Canine Good Citizen certification and possessing an AKC® registration ID. Remember that aggressive behavior is not permitted, and adopted or service dogs receive a $10 discount. Service Dog Training
Dive into our Aliso Viejo service dog training – a complete program led by a certified service dog trainer. The process begins with our K-9 trainer offering a free consultation and assessment to ascertain your dog’s suitability and assistance needs. Upon completing the initial consultation, your service dog trainer in Aliso Viejo will develop a tailored K-9 training program consisting of three phases. These phases include group sessions like CGC Level I & II, Urban Canine, and Basic, in addition to train and board options, private field sessions, and individual lessons held either at your home or in an alternate location with a local K-9 trainer. The training program covers evaluations for credentials such as AKC Community Canine®, a Public Access Test, Urban Canine Good Citizen®, and AKC Canine Good Citizen®.
