The Importance of Dog Training
Dog training is a key aspect in solidifying the connection between dogs and their human companions, nurturing good behavior, and improving communication dynamics within the family. The phrase, “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” is a common misconception. Dogs’ ability to learn and adapt at any age is a testament to their exceptional intelligence. Professional dog training services play a crucial role in ensuring that dogs receive the necessary training and support because they utilize humane, effective training techniques in a structured learning environment, all backed by expert guidance.
Choosing It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy as your dog’s training destination comes with several advantages, including the expertise of certified trainers with extensive experience, a commitment to positive reinforcement methods that encourage obedience and trust, and tailored training programs designed to meet your dog’s specific needs. These actions encourage a harmonious and rewarding bond between you and your canine buddy, paving the way for a more joyful and content coexistence.
AKC® Trick Dog Classes
Enroll in the AKC® Trick Dog Class at It’s A Dog’s World K9 Academy for a fun-filled bonding experience with your furry companion! Over the course of 6 weeks, your furry friend will master a variety of exciting tricks, like high-fiving, shaking paws, playing dead, jumping through a hoop, spinning in circles, barking on cue, crawling, and more. Your dog can earn an AKC® “Intermediate” or “Novice” Trick Dog Title when they showcase a specific number of tricks.
In the Novice test, your dog needs to show 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), and Intermediate introduces an extra set of 10 tricks. Led by AKC®-authorized CGC Evaluators, our course is accessible to canines aged 6 months and older who have already fulfilled the prerequisites of Basic Obedience or an equivalent training regimen. Don’t pass up on this opportunity to deepen your connection, develop skills, and have fun with your loyal companion!

Service Dog Training
Discover our Norwalk service dog training – a detailed program guided by a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer gets things started with a free consultation and assessment to evaluate your dog’s support needs and program compatibility. After the initial assessment, your service dog trainer in Norwalk will develop a personalized K-9 training regimen consisting of three stages. These stages include group classes like Urban Canine, CGC Level I & II, and Basic, as well as one-on-one sessions either at home or at an off-site location with a local K-9 trainer., board and train options, and private field sessions. Your dog’s training regimen includes assessments for credentials like AKC Community Canine®, a Public Access Test, AKC Canine Good Citizen®, and Urban Canine Good Citizen®.
While the training is thorough and demanding, not all dogs will be able to complete the course, and some may not be the right fit, those that do will receive a Certification ID card. Your K-9 trainer in Norwalk emphasizes the importance of your active participation and availability for instruction and lessons in your dog’s comprehensive training, as long as you are physically able to do so. Feel free to reach out to us for additional details and to schedule your consultation appointment.
Obedience Training
Immerse your dog in a fun and productive learning environment with our Group Obedience courses.
