AKC® Urban CGC

Register now for our AKC® CGC dog training program for a comprehensive and hands-on approach to bettering canine behavior in public settings. Help your dog learn to handle outdoor experiences such as crowds, traffic, and stores with this class. Sessions run on Saturdays at 1:00 pm and conclude with a test. Requirements involve having achieved the Canine Good Citizen title and being registered with an AKC® number. Keep in mind that aggressive behavior is not accepted, and service or adopted dogs enjoy a $10 discount. If your dog needs additional training support, we can set you up with a dog aggression trainer or dog reactivity trainer.

Obedience Training

Discover the fun and efficiency of training your dog with our Group Obedience courses. Work closely with a personalized group of up to 12 owners and their dogs, where a dedicated local dog trainer will guide you through a 7-week program. Weekly hour-long sessions are complemented by daily 45-minute practice sessions, covering essential commands like loose leash walking, heel, sit and down stays, recall, and addressing common behavioral issues. Moreover, we pay attention to teaching proper greetings, underlining the significance of nutrition and exercise, and reinforcing obedience commands amidst distractions up to 30 feet away. Enhance your dog’s abilities with our Intermediate Obedience Training levels, designed to prepare them for AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine tests. AKC® Trick Dog Classes

Join our AKC® Trick Dog Class at It’s A Dog’s World K9 Academy and have a blast with your furry buddy! Over 6 weeks, your dog will be introduced to a multitude of exciting tricks, such as spinning in circles, shaking paws, high-fiving, playing dead, barking on cue, crawling, jumping through a hoop, and additional tricks. Obtaining an AKC® “Intermediate” or “Novice” Trick Dog Title is possible for your dog through the performance of a set quantity of tricks.

In the Novice evaluation, your dog will display 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), and Intermediate requires mastering an additional 10 tricks. Conducted by AKC®-endorsed CGC Evaluators, our course welcomes dogs aged 6 months and above who have met the requirements of Basic Obedience or a similar training program. Service Dog Training

Participate in our Corona service dog training – a complete program managed by a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer kicks things off with a complimentary consultation and assessment to determine your dog’s suitability and assistance needs. Following the initial evaluation, your service dog trainer in Corona will create a tailored K-9 training strategy across three phases. These phases include group workshops such as CGC Level I & II, Urban Canine, and Basic, along with private field sessions, board and train options, and individual lessons held either at your residence or elsewhere with a local K-9 trainer. Testing for certifications like AKC Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Community Canine®, Urban Canine Good Citizen®, and a Public Access Test will be included.

Although the training is challenging, not all dogs will pass, and some may not be the right fit, those who successfully complete the program receive a Certification ID card.
