Certified Professional Dog and Service Dog Trainer, Certified CGC Evaluator
Karen is the owner and head trainer of It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy Inc.™, with over 20 years of experience training dogs. She specializes in working with dogs that are struggling with aggressive, reactive and anxious behavior as well as the happy-go-lucky hyper puppy.
Karen’s journey of becoming a dog trainer began at the age of 8 years old when she befriended a neighborhood German Shepherd that was reactive to passersby. This experience sparked her desire to learn and understand more about behavior issues in dogs.
Karen’s training has helped hundreds of dogs and their owners have a deeper bond, communication and better relationship with their dogs. She believes in focusing on the root cause behind animal behavior, to improve communication between the owner and their dog.
At It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy Inc.™, Karen conducts private lessons in our private lessons program and our behavior modification program at the facility in Glendora, and in client’s homes or off-site field trips. Karen also trains dogs in our board and train program and our off-leash program.
Karen is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and she also holds two certifications through Animal Behavior College: Animal Behavior College Dog Trainer (ABCDT) and Animal Behavior College Service Dog Trainer (ABCSDT).
