AKC® Urban CGC

Register now for our AKC® CGC dog training program for a comprehensive and hands-on approach to bettering canine behavior in public settings. Prepare your dog to handle outdoor situations including crowds, traffic, and shopping with this class. Join us on Saturdays at 1:00 pm for sessions that end with a test. Key requirements involve holding the Canine Good Citizen title and an AKC® registration number. Please be aware that aggressive behavior is not allowed, and there is a $10 discount available for service or adopted dogs. If your dog struggles with reactivity, we can connect you to a dog reactivity trainer or dog aggression trainer.

Service Dog Training

Engage in our Chino Hills service dog training – a thorough program conducted by a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer starts the process with a no-cost consultation and assessment, evaluating your dog’s suitability and support requirements. Following the initial evaluation, your service dog trainer in Chino Hills will create a personalized K-9 training regimen that consists of three phases. These phases include group sessions like Urban Canine,CGC Level I & II, and Basic, along with individual lessons held either at your residence or elsewhere with a local K-9 trainer, train and board options, and private field sessions. Your dog’s training will include assessments for credentials like AKC Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Community Canine®, a Public Access Test, and Urban Canine Good Citizen®.

Because of the challenging nature of the training, not every dog will succeed, and some may not meet the criteria, but those who excel receive a Certification ID card. Your K-9 trainer in Chino Hills will ask that you make yourself available for instruction and lessons, as you’ll be an active participant (as long as you are physically able) in your dog’s comprehensive training. AKC® Trick Dog Classes

Take part in the AKC® Trick Dog Class at It’s A Dog’s World K9 Academy and enjoy a fantastic time with your loyal companion! In a 6-week span, your dog will pick up numerous enjoyable tricks, such as barking on command, jumping through a hoop, high-fiving, crawling, spinning in circles, shaking paws, playing dead, and other tricks. By showcasing a designated number of tricks, your dog can attain an AKC® “Novice” or “Intermediate” Trick Dog Title.

The Novice test involves presenting 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), while Intermediate involves showcasing an additional 10 tricks. Led by AKC®-authorized CGC Evaluators, our workshop is accessible to canines aged 6 months and older who have successfully completed Basic Obedience or an equivalent curriculum. Moreover, we give priority to stressing the value of a balanced diet and regular exercise, instilling proper greeting behavior, and reinforcing obedience commands with distractions reaching up to 30 feet. Develop your dog’s skills with our Intermediate Obedience Training tiers, designed to equip them for AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine evaluations, granting a well-mannered pet certification and legal benefits.
