Obedience Training

Immerse your dog in a fun and productive learning environment with our Group Obedience courses. Engage in a close-knit group with no more than 12 owners and dogs, where you’ll collaborate with a devoted local dog trainer over a 7-week span. Each week, you’ll enjoy hour-long sessions alongside daily 45-minute practice sessions, focusing on handling common behavioral challenges and fundamental commands such as loose leash walking, sit and down stays, recall, and heel. We also prioritize teaching appropriate greetings, emphasizing nutrition and exercise, and reinforcing obedience commands amid distractions as far as 30 feet away. Develop your dog’s capabilities further through our Intermediate Obedience Training tiers, aimed at preparing them for AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine assessments, which offer legal advantages and a well-mannered pet certification. Let us guide your dog to excellence in obedience and social manners!

Service Dog Training

Discover our Montclair service dog training – a detailed program guided by a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer starts with a complimentary consultation and assessment to determine your dog’s assistance needs and suitability for the program. Following the initial evaluation, your service dog trainer in Montclair will create a personalized K-9 training regimen that consists of three phases. including group classes like Basic, CGC Level I & II, and Urban Canine, as well as board and train options, private field lessons, and in-home or off-site private lessons with a local K-9 trainer. Testing for certifications like a Public Access Test, Urban Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Canine Good Citizen®, and AKC Community Canine® will also be part of the training.

Because of the challenging nature of the training, not every dog will succeed, and some may not meet the criteria, but those who complete training will receive a Certification ID card. Unless you are physically unable to participate, your K-9 trainer in Montclair will advise that your active involvement and readiness for instruction and lessons are vital for your dog’s comprehensive training. Reach us for further details and to schedule your consultation at your convenience.
