Service Dog Training

Our K-9 trainer starts with a complimentary consultation and assessment to determine your dog’s assistance needs and suitability for the program. AKC® Trick Dog Classes

Participate in our AKC® Trick Dog Class at It’s A Dog’s World K9 Academy and delight in a memorable experience with your furry friend! In this 6-week course, your dog will be introduced to a variety of exciting tricks, such as jumping through a hoop, shaking paws, barking on command, spinning in circles, high-fiving, crawling, playing dead, and more. Achieving an AKC® “Novice” or “Intermediate” Trick Dog Title is within reach for your dog through the demonstration of a set quantity of tricks.

The Novice assessment entails presenting 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), while Intermediate adds another 10 tricks. Conducted by AKC®-endorsed CGC Evaluators, our session welcomes dogs aged 6 months and up who have successfully completed Basic Obedience or a comparable curriculum. Necessary prerequisites include obtaining the Canine Good Citizen certification and an AKC® registration. It’s important to remember that aggressive behavior will not be tolerated, and adopted or service dogs are eligible for a $10 discount.
