Obedience Training
Enjoy the benefits of our Group Obedience courses – a fun and impactful training option! Participate in a close-knit group of no more than 12 owners and dogs, where you can benefit from the expertise of a local dog trainer in a 7-week course. Each week, you’ll enjoy hour-long sessions alongside daily 45-minute practice sessions, focusing on handling common behavioral challenges and fundamental commands such as loose leash walking, sit and down stays, recall, and heel. In addition, we focus on highlighting the significance of nutrition and physical activity, reinforcing obedience commands in the face of distractions up to 30 feet away, and instilling proper greeting manners. Progress your dog’s capabilities through our Intermediate Obedience Training classes, aimed at getting them ready for AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine assessments, offering a well-mannered pet certification and legal benefits. Service Dog Training
Embark on our Anaheim service dog training journey, under the guidance of a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer gets things started with a free consultation and assessment to evaluate your dog’s support needs and program compatibility. After the introductory session, your service dog trainer in Anaheim will devise a specialized K-9 training plan consisting of three stages. This includes group sessions such as Basic, CGC Level I & II, and Urban Canine, alongside private field sessions, one-on-one sessions either off-site or at home with a local K-9 trainer, and training or boarding options. The training plan includes evaluations for credentials such as AKC Community Canine®, AKC Canine Good Citizen®, a Public Access Test, and Urban Canine Good Citizen®.
Because of the intensive training, not every dog will pass, and some may not be suitable candidates, those who complete the full course successfully will be awarded a Certification ID card. AKC® Urban CGC

Train your dog to navigate outdoor challenges like crowds, traffic, and store visits with this class. Join us on Saturdays at 1:00 pm for sessions that end with a test. Prerequisites include achieving the Canine Good Citizen certification and being AKC® registered. Take note that aggressive behavior is not permitted, and there is a $10 discount for service or adopted dogs. If your dog has greater training needs and doesn’t qualify for this course, we can put you in touch with a dog reactivity trainer or dog aggression trainer.
AKC® Trick Dog Classes
Sign up for the AKC® Trick Dog Class at It’s A Dog’s World K9 Academy and have an amazing time with your furry buddy! Over the course of 6 weeks, your canine companion will learn a variety of exciting tricks, including spinning in circles, crawling, shaking paws, barking on command, jumping through a hoop, high-fiving, playing dead, and more. Securing an AKC® “Intermediate” or “Novice” Trick Dog Title is attainable for your dog through the performance of a certain number of tricks.
The Novice assessment requires dogs to show off 10 tricks (or 5 if they hold a CGC title), while Intermediate includes an additional 10 tricks. Managed by AKC®-approved CGC Evaluators, our workshop caters to dogs aged 6 months and above who have successfully completed Basic Obedience or an equivalent training curriculum.
