Obedience Training

Engage in a rewarding and impactful training experience for your dog with our Group Obedience courses. Work closely with a maximum of 12 owners and dogs in a supportive group setting led by a dedicated local dog trainer over 7 weeks. Your dog can sharpen skills with weekly hour-long sessions and daily 45-minute practice sessions, covering vital commands like sit and down stays, recall, loose leash walking, and heel and tackling typical behavior problems. Additionally, we emphasize the importance of promoting healthy eating habits and regular physical activity, teaching proper greetings, and reinforcing obedience commands in the presence of distractions up to 30 feet away. Progress your dog’s capabilities through our Intermediate Obedience Training classes, aimed at getting them ready for AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine assessments, offering a well-mannered pet certification and legal benefits. AKC® Trick Dog Classes

Sign up for our AKC® Trick Dog Class at It’s A Dog’s World K9 Academy and have a wonderful time with your canine companion! In a 6-week span, your dog will pick up numerous enjoyable tricks, such as barking on command, jumping through a hoop, high-fiving, crawling, spinning in circles, shaking paws, playing dead, and other tricks. Your dog can obtain an AKC® “Novice” or “Intermediate” Trick Dog Title by displaying a predetermined number of tricks.

The Novice test involves presenting 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), while Intermediate involves showcasing an additional 10 tricks. Managed by AKC®-approved CGC Evaluators, our workshop caters to dogs aged 6 months and above who have successfully completed Basic Obedience or an equivalent training curriculum. AKC® Urban CGC

Join our AKC® CGC dog training services for an effective and structured strategy toward enhancing canine behavior in public settings. Equip your dog for outdoor experiences like crowds, traffic, and stores through this class. Sessions are held on Saturdays at 1:00 pm and include a test. Key requirements involve acquiring the Canine Good Citizen title and being AKC® registered. Please remember that aggressive behavior is against the policy, and adopted or service dogs receive a $10 discount. If your dog needs more targeted correction, we can pair you with a dog reactivity trainer or dog aggression trainer.

Service Dog Training

Dive into our Chino service dog training – a complete program led by a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer begins with a free consultation and assessment to ascertain your dog’s suitability and assistance requirements. Upon completing the initial consultation, your service dog trainer in Chino will devise a customized, three-phase K-9 training program. These stages include group sessions like Urban Canine, CGC Level I & II, and Basic, in addition to one-on-one sessions conducted either at your home or in alternate locations with a local K-9 trainer, board and train options, and private field sessions. The training program includes evaluations for credentials such as AKC Community Canine®, AKC Canine Good Citizen®, a Public Access Test, and Urban Canine Good Citizen®.

The training is thorough and demanding, so some dogs won’t meet the standards or be suitable, but successful completion earns a Certification ID card.
