Dog training is as versatile as dog breeds. From basic obedience to advanced and specialized training, there are many approaches to and practices for training pups of every age. It’s A Dog’s World K9 Academy is proud to offer training from a skilled team of trainers, who are knowledgeable in multiple areas, including the Board & Train method! It’s Dog’s World partners with Chino’s Caring Kennel that’s located on the same property to provide all types kenneling including during training. Types of Board & Train
There are two basic types of boarding for the Board & Train method, in home or in kennel. Depending on the type of dog and what the needs are, a trainer could welcome the dog into their home for training. This can be effective when teaching a pet to keep four on the floor (and not on your counter) and helps animals to strengthen bonding skills with both humans and other dogs that may in the home. In kennel can be just as effective, as the dog will be around other pups as well and receive consistent training from a variety of staff to help them build their obedience skills. Both are an option via It’s A Dog’s World, with in-homes taken on a case by case basis and kenneling offered at nearby Chino’s Caring Kennel.
Total Immersion
The virtue of any type of Board & Train is that the dog is completely immersed into an environment where they can succeed. There are expectations, consistent training sessions, and opportunity for the dog to understand basic obedience in a timely manner. Everyday your dog will be immersed in a lifestyle that’s positive but firm, and working toward basic sit, stay, come commands. There’s also room for leash training, and for more aggressive dogs, specialized training that includes socialization.
Training Long Term
Everyone knows the saying, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” but we’re not convinced! Board & Train is a great step for puppies and adolescent and adult dogs too. Our dedicated staff takes each dog’s personality and needs into consideration when training. After the Board & Train is complete, we’ll conduct visits at your home and will welcome dogs back for more advanced training. It’s A Dog’s World also offers Yappy Hour drop-ins to keep your dog well versed in obedience and socialization!
