In this trainer’s course (class room learning) we will be covering:

· Learning Theory- the scientific principles of how dogs learn

· Practical application of learning theory

· Ethology

· Body language how dogs communicate

· Safety when approaching and handling dogs

· Aggression Assessments

· Behavior problems in puppies, adolescents and adult dogs

· You will study behavior modification training tips (problem solving) of the most common behaviors , barking, chewing, digging, jumping, potty training and much more…..

· You will learn teaching skills and how to structure private lessons and group classes

· A Certificate of Completion after meeting all graduation requirements

DownThis course is designed for those that are new to the field and those that have always worked around animals and desire to enhance their resume by learning the theory of canine behavior. Students will work in the classroom and with untrained dogs. They will hear case studies and have the opportunity to work in groups applying their knowledge by working on case studies, teaching skills etc.

This course when taken in conjunction an apprenticeship will give you the necessary skills to work for a trainer or start your own business.
