The V.I.P (Very Important Pooch!)

Hemi

For those who prefer not to board their dog in the kennel for training, The V.I.P Program is the perfect solution!

For two to four weeks, you dog can live with all his or her creature comforts in the spacious home of It’s A Dog’s World owner, Liz Reyes.

Liz and her husband Tony have a ½ acre property and your dog will receive plenty of exercise and attention in addition to their obedience training.

If you choose this Program, then your dog will live as a part of an extended family with Diego the Chihuahua, Santos the Bouvier Des Flanders, Bentley the Standard Poodle, and Lucy the Rabbit.  And, of course, Liz’s human family which includes  6 and 1 year old daughters!

PLAYTIME!

Your dog will be trained and exercised several times a day by Master Trainer, Liz. Living as part of the family will ensure that your dog receives lots of socialization opportunities and housebreaking attention - great for timid dogs and young puppies!

While your dog is with Liz, he or she will learn the following commands
  • Sit
  • Down
  • Wait at doors or gates
  • Heel with Auto Sit
  • Distractions
  • Sit-Stay
  • Down-Stay
  • Recall or Come
  • Place or Settle

For the 3 and 4 week programs, Liz will work up to a 30ft leash and proof the commands with heavy distractions. Liz will also teach your dog manners including not jumping on people or furniture, polite greetings at the front door, and absolutely no playbiting.

Training in a home environment can also offer lots of realistic distractions (great for testing those commands!), help to teach house manners in a real-life setting, and gives Liz the opportunity to really focus on any difficult issues that you are experiencing with your pooch.

As an added perk of the V.I.P. Program, your dog will enjoy free playtimes with it’s canine pals. Doggie Adventure Hikes are available upon request at an additional charge.

Once your dog has been fully trained by us, Liz will then train you! You will receive a two hour “handover” lesson the same day your dog has left the program.  Remember, it is always so much easier to work with a trained dog!  Liz can also spend this lesson working on digging, chewing, house breaking, counter surfing, trash digging, running away, jumping on the sliding glass door, barking and any management issues that you may have.

As part of this comprehensive package, you are also entitled to follow us lessons at our location or in your home following the training, depending on the package you choose. This provides you with the perfect opportunity to work with your dog around even more distractions or offers you an excellent way to refresh your dog’s training later on in the future.
