All of the trainers at It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy, Inc.™ invest time and effort attending training seminars, workshops, and classes throughout the country by world-renowned dog training and behavioral experts. We are dedicated to making your learning experience fun and pleasurable for you and your dog!

 

Elizabeth Reyes, CPDT     Owner

Elizabeth is the owner and director of It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy, Inc. Learning to train dogs at a young age has destined Elizabeth to have a rewarding career as a dog trainer and founder of a prosperous business. With over 19 years of experience, she has obtained an extensive and in-depth knowledge of the dog training industry. Her education ranges from having a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice, to personal protection training, behavioral problem solving, basic on and off leash obedience training and more! She is also a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), and the Animal Behavior Management Alliance (ABMA). She is also certified as a Personal Protection Specialist (PPS).

Liz’s extensive past experience working with canines includes security patrol work with a K-9, kennel management, assisting in veterinary hospitals, and, of course, teaching owners how to have a rewarding and responsible relationship with their pet. She is the head instructor for It’s A Dog’s World School for Dog Trainers. She is approved by the Certified Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) as a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT).

She has spent many hours attending various seminars by renowned dog trainers and behaviorists such as John Rogerson, Pia Silvani, Karen Pryor, and more.

Her training has helped owners develop a better relationship with their pet. She believes in focusing on the reasons behind animal behavior, in order to improve communication between owner and animal.

 

     


Karen Widaman, C.P.D.T., A.B.C.D.T.     Manager/Director of Training

Ashley

Karen’s dream to become a dog trainer began at 8 years of age when she be-friended a trained German Shepherd guard dog.  Since that time, she has obtained her certification as a Certified Dog Trainer from Animal Behavior College.  There she was taught learning theory, behavior problem solving, aggression, ethology, puppy development, how to conduct and teach group classes, and how to safely handle and train dogs.

At It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy Inc., she specializes working one on one with the dogs that are in for the board & train program, teaching group classes for Basic Obedience as well as conducting private lessons at our Chino location.  She has been training dogs with It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy Inc. since March, 2008.  

 

In her spare time she enjoys working with Collie Rescue.

 


Glenda Welch Pate, A.B.C.D.T.

Glenda Glenda has owned and enjoyed aimals her entire life.  Her interest in training was sparked over twenty three years ago when she trained her Golden Retriever for field trials.  She continued to train dogs for friends and neighbors on a part time basis throughout the years. 

She is a Certified Dog Trainer from Animal Behavior College.  There she was taught learning theory, behavior problem solving, aggression, ethology, puppy development, how to conduct and teach group classes, and how to safely handle and train dogs.

At  It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy Inc., she specializes in teaching the group classes for advanced obedience, as well as teaching pet owners on a one-to-one basis with their dogs.  She has been training dogs with It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy Inc. since 2004.

Glenda likes to modify her training methods based on the personalities of the dog and the pet owner to help build a better bond between the two!  

 


Chris Mangrich, A.B.C.D.T.

Chris After 17 years in the corporate world, Chris left the rat race to stay home and raise her son.  After 7 years at home with him, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a dog trainer.  

Since then, she has gone on to become a Certified Dog Trainer from Animal Behavior College.  There she was taught learning theory, behavior problem solving, aggression, ethology, puppy development, how to conduct and teach group classes, and how to safely handle and train dogs.

When working with pet owners, she is able to apply what she learned from her degree in Psychology, to enhance the relationship between dog and owner.  She has a special ability to understand what the clients needs are and how to obtain those goals. 

At It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy Inc., she conducts basic obedience group classes, and instructs clients on the proper techniques in training their dogs through private and in home instruction.  She has been working with It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy Inc. since March of 2005.

 


Kathy Mair, A.B.C.D.T 

A self-proclaimed “dog person,” Kathy finally decided to do something productive with her love of animals when her sister told her to stop complaining about the job she hated and do something she loved.

From there, Kathy earned her certification as a Dog Trainer from Animal Behavior College, where she was educated in learning theory, behavior problem solving, aggression, ethology, puppy development, how to conduct and teach group classes, and how to safely handle and train dogs.

Kathy teaches classes in the Temecula area. She has been with It’s a Dog’s World K-9 Academy Inc. ™ since the summer of 2008.

 


Kerianne Benkosky, A.B.C.D.T.

Kerianne has loved animals all her life. In 2005, she had the great opportunity of woking at a zoo in Palm Desert. There she worked with and trained a variety of animals including cougars, leopards, foxes, camels, golden eagles, and badgers. In 2008, she attended Animal Behavior College to begin a new career in training dogs.

In 2009, she graduated Animal Behavior College and became a Certified Dog Trainer. There she was taught learning theory, behavior problem solving, aggression, ethology, puppy development, how to conduct and teach group classes, and how to safely handle and train dogs.

At It’s A Dog’s World K-9 Academy, Inc.™, she trains dogs one on one with our board and train program. She also conducts Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Obedience, and private lessons. With these classes she is able to apply what she has learned with the Animal Behavior College and help dog owners successfully train their dogs.
