How to Become a Dog Trainer
January 13, 2011Spoil your dog this Valentine’s Day
February 14, 2011Most families have a first-aid kit for the members of their family, but not many have one for their pooch. Hopefully you won’t need it, but it’s good to have in case you do need it while traveling while traveling, out at the park or just when you’re home. As always, if an emergency occurs call your veterinarian first, but you can place some simple things in Fido’s kit to help keep your pet warm, stop bleeding or disinfect wounds. Here’s what your kit should include:
- Clean towels
- Duct tape
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- Gauze and cotton bandaging material
- Saline irrigation solution (like you would for contact lenses, to cure a wound)
- White medical adhesive tape
- A muzzle appropriate for your pet’s mouth
- Antibiotic ointment (Neosporin)
